The Truckee River Prescribed Burn Association is planning a prescribed burn during the upcoming burn window, weather and conditions permitting. This community-led burn supports hazardous fuel reduction, defensible space, watershed health, forest resilience, and local prescribed fire training.
Final ignition will only occur when weather, smoke, staffing, equipment, and site conditions are within the approved prescription.

Why We Are Burning
